While growing up, watching the Brady Bunch show was one of my favorite past times. Mrs Brady had Alice to help her, 6 perfectly behaved children and an adoring husband. The best blended family. Their antics were very entertaining! Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!!

I'm drawn to skies for many reasons. While growing up, my sisters and I would stare at the clouds and watch animals and faces appear as they floated by. My parents always had us outdoors and showed us how to take time to pause and notice the sunsets or sunrises. Skies depict emotions and moods. You can have a very dark stormy sky (my favorite) or a bright blue billowy, cloudy sky. I love them all and I hope you do, too. Or, at least start to take notice of Mother Nature's beauty.

Each painting in this 30-day collection is named after famous female actresses, comediennes, activists, singers, and poets that have made an impact not only on me, but also this country’s history. Names like Lucille, Bette, Liz, Aretha, Maya, Phyllis, Michelle, and Oprah, to name a few.

During the creation of this collection, our nation pivoted again at the cost of lives. Too darn many. But I believe art heals, and so I’m donating to @chelseascharity for her good work of getting art supplies to kids around the US who need them. Art heals and unites, and it’s just plain beautiful to see children creating!! My other initiative is the #artistsupportpledge, where if I make my $1,000 goal, I pledge to use $200 towards the purchase of another artist’s work as a way to help during this isolating time.
